Meteor Shower Leonid 2010

one among nature’s marvels is the actual Leonid meteor shower which will keep us in awe precisely as it will give a life into the sky tonight.

Leonid meteor showers can be seen annually. According to the dear Wikipedia, “Leonids in particular are well known to get having bright meteors or fireballs which can be 9 mm across and get 85 g of mass and punch in the atmosphere with the kinetic energy of any car hitting at 60 mph. An annual Leonid give may deposit 12 or 13 a great deal of particles across the total planet. Sometimes these tracks of meteoroids cause meteor showers as well as sometimes meteor storms. ”

ANY word from Discovery mag, we will be able to see 20 to 30 flashes throughout the sky each hour.

The good time to determine it is around 3 o’clock in the am, but if you want a more rewarding view, watch around a few: 15am, when the moon sets and prior to the sun rises.
This celestial event should not be missed! It only happens each year. Maybe this is any time where we can make a great deal of wishes: ).
