Rampage vs. Machida UFC 123 results are in. Last night, (Sat., Nov. 20, 2010) at UFC 123 from The Palace of Auburn Hills in the Detroit suburb of Auburn Hills, Michigan, Quinton Jackson pulled what will likely become a controversial split decision victory over Lyoto Machida.


Rampage won the 1st and 2nd rounds on two of the three judges’ scorecards while Machida, according to most viewers took the third. The third round saw the most action.
Jackson came out strong and owned the center of the cage looking to find his rhythm. Machida attacked with kicks to cut down the powerful striker’s legs but didn’t quite land them with the authority as he has done so often in previous fights.


Rampage was only able to land a clean uppercut, but he was clearly the more aggressive of the fighters and drove with intensity until the final round. After the fight he told Joe Rogan, “Machida whooped my ass.”
Both fighters say they would love a rematch.
